Voddie Tharon Baucham, Jr. (March 11, 1969 – September 25, 2025) was an influential American pastor, theologian, and author, widely known for his teaching on family discipleship, cultural apologetics, and biblical authority. Born in Los Angeles, he came to faith during his college years and went on to earn degrees from Houston Baptist University, Southwestern and Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminaries, along with further study at Oxford. Over his career he pastored churches, founded Voddie Baucham Ministries, and in 2015 moved to Lusaka, Zambia, to serve for nearly a decade as Dean of Theology at African Christian University.
